Hunter Animal Rescue are committed to reducing pet overpopulation and to ensure that every dog and cat in our community has a loving home. Along with you we can all reduce the amount of unwanted pets in shelters and abandoned into the wild.
We are now offering the last litter program to prevent more unwanted litters. We are urging everyone with an unwanted litter or pregnant dog or cat to contact us.
How does the Last Litter Program work?
Make this litter your pets last. Through the Last Litter Program, HAR offers FREE spay surgery for any female dog or cat whose offspring is surrendered to us for our adoption program! We also take on pregnant animals where our experienced carers help the Mum to raise her babies until they are weened. We then desex Mum and return her back, or rehome her as well if needed. HAR will then get the babies vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas on a regular basis, spay/neutered, microchipped, and we will find them all great homes, at no expense to you.
Please contact us as soon as possible to see if we can assist you. Even if your animal is currently pregnant we can start to organise carers. Please note we can’t help everyone with our limited resources but we will be doing our best. If you’d like more information please don’t hesitate to contact us via the form below. We need as much information about your pet to assess suitability for the program.
