About Snuffles – On trial
All About Me and My Unique Personality: ON MEDICAL HOLD pending desexing and potential vet work regarding his very poor breathing ability.
Snuffles is an adorable and loving boy who will quickly become his chosen persons shadow.
he is very relaxed and largely indifferent to other dogs but can occasionally be reactive if other dogs are rude to him. He is easily convinced to settle down and stop the behaviour though.
He is very relaxed and is not a dog who would attempt to run away, he prefers to just stay with you at all times.
His low energy may or may not be a symptom of his respiratory issues- his upcoming vet work will determine this.
Snuffles does become anxious in the evenings and we have had some sleep issues. We have gone from crating to popping a belly band on and just letting him roam through the night until he settles.
However it’s not perfect and earplugs are still required whilst he adjusts to the sleep routine and in general as he snores and snuffles constantly. He suits his name perfectly.
This boy loves to be held, kissed and carried. Not terribly food motivated or interested in toys at this current time.
My Ideal Home: Someone that understands that this little guy may have ongoing health issues and expenses that need to be met kn order to ensure his quality of life.
Family, couple, single person- it doesn’t matter as long as he is loved and cared for and gets to spend as much time with his person as possible.
He could live with another dog as long as they are non-reactive and chill. He loves my 75kg wolfhound mix and occasionally awkwardly tries to engage play with him.
Please DO NOT APPLY if you haven’t read this profile regarding his needs and potential health issues and costs that might be incurred due to them. He deserves someone who will love him forever and not put him in the “too hard” basket.
What is Known About My Background: Not much. It is suspected that he was surrendered due to potentially needing costly operations or possibly the novelty just wore off and the owners grew tired of the constant snuffling and snoring.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Dogs-indifferent but occasionally will try to play. Co-exists well. Can occasionally be reactive to snappy dogs or dogs with excessive energy bouncing around him.
He seems to like children and enjoys being patted by them.
Unsure about cats.
He is indifferent and non-reactive to all other humans he has met.
