About Rue
All About Me and My Unique Personality: I'm a very sweet and gentle girl who welcomes pats and cuddles at any opportunity. It didn't take long for me to feel comfortable with my new foster family - happily seeking attention and offering head butts straight away.
I'm a typical playful kitten who loves to romp with my brother Magnus and the other foster kittens. I'll chase the laser pointer, toss toys around and entertain you with my version of parkour up and down the giant scratching post! My favourite spot to snooze in the sun is the highest level of the tall scratching post, watching the world go by.
As mentioned, I will need weekly brushing, which suits me as I love the brush and am very tolerant of it.
I will follow you around and love to sleep on the bed with you. I will make a beautiful, affectionate addition to any family who loves a snuggly cat.
My Ideal Home: I'm pretty relaxed and would feel comfortable in pretty much any environment. I'm confident around all sorts of people and am happy to meet any visitors who come to the house. I would be ok in a busy house, or just as happy in a quiet space. I'd be fine at home by myself throughout the day, but would look for attention and affection once someone is home. I do love contact with people and smooches, and I'd prefer to sleep with you at night.
What is Known About My Background: Myself and my twin brother Magnus came into care through the pound. We are well socialised and healthy kittens who have had all vet work completed.
Unfortunately black cats are often overlooked when getting adopted as some believe they signify 'bad luck'. Black cats are also referred to as 'common colour' meaning they are often the last picked for adoption...but black cats are known to be very affectionate - and who wouldn't want thier own tiny panther!
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I get along well with all the other animals in my house, respecting the older cats, not being too rough with the smaller kittens and trying to avoid my brother Magnus when he's being bossy. As nice as it would be to get adopted with Magnus, I think we would fight too much as we get older. I would be suitable in a multi cat household, it would be better if the other cat/s are at least slightly older than me.
It took a couple of days but I'm now very confident with the dogs and happy to climb on the couch and sleep on the bed with them.
I might avoid noisy toddlers, but I'm very gentle and enjoy being touched so would be suitable for all ages of children.
