All About Me and My Unique Personality: Wow where to start with Nugget? I know we are not supposed to have favourites but if I did Nugget would be the one. I am going to have a hard time seeing Nugget go off to her new forever home.
Nugget proves that great things come in small packages. She was always tiny and was probably the runt of the litter. She is still quite small for her age and will likely always be a smaller cat. But what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in personality. She is so full of life and is very sassy. She is such a character, always curious and never afraid.
She loves quiet time receiving affection. Everything from a simple pat to lying on her back and getting a belly rub. If you are not paying attention to her she is known to climb your leg to get to you. Also known to sit on your shoulders. And she is a definite lap cat too.
She loves running around and playing with the other cats and even with our adult labrador dog. She is full of confidence and is the first one to reach me when I enter the room (she is very fast).
After Nugget was desexed she developed a nasty infection (because she licked her wound and opened the stitches) resulting in 3 weeks of wearing a cone around her neck and taking daily medication and she never once complained. She just enjoyed life and never even slipped out of the cone. This is her all over - she makes the best of life and enjoys it. I have never seen another animal tolerate a cone let alone ignore it and enjoy her time in it.
Nugget will be a vital part of her new owner's life and will reward affection 10 fold with purrs, entertainment and love.
I will miss her very much but it is time she found someone. It could be you.
My Ideal Home: Any home will do. Kids, other animals, I don't think anything will worry Nugget. But I would strongly advise that Nugget be kept an indoor cat. I fear her curiosity will get her in trouble in the outdoors.
What is Known About My Background: Nugget came into my care at the age of about 3 weeks along with her mother. No other kittens from the litter came into care and nothing is known about them. Given the size it is assumed Nugget is the runt of the litter. When she first arrived she had the name of Rocky as it was thought she was male. Even before we realised she was female she earned the name of Nugget by being a small but lovely bundle of joy. She has grown slowly but steadily since then and is now ready for her forever home.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Nugget is great with others. She meets every new person and animal and situation with curiosity and no fear.
