About Dixon
All About Me and My Unique Personality: Dixon is a gorgeous grey tabby kitten with the most beautiful white markings around his eyes that make him absolutely irresistible. He came into care with his brother Blaze after spending his entire life at the pound. When he first arrived, Dixon was much shyer and more timid than Blaze. After having known only the confines of a cage, the new, open space of a foster home was overwhelming for him. It took him a few days to feel comfortable enough to come out and explore, but with a little patience and encouragement from his confident brother Blaze, Dixon has really started to come out of his shell.
Now, Dixon is beginning to show his playful side, and it’s such a joy to see! He’s starting to get a little cheeky, especially when playing with Blaze, who helps him feel brave. But despite his newfound sense of adventure, Dixon is still a big fan of snuggling. The first time we heard him purr was such a special moment, and he’s continued to be the sweetest little companion.
Dixon is still finding his way and growing in confidence, but he’s already such a lovable, gentle kitten. He may not be the most outgoing just yet, but when he’s ready for affection, he’s all in—cuddling up close for the coziest snuggles.
While Dixon does get along with the three resident cats in his foster home, his closest bond is with his brother Blaze. They are inseparable, and Blaze has been a huge support in helping Dixon feel more secure.
Dixon is still a bit shy around kids but does well with them, and he’s fine being picked up and carried around. He’s looking for a calm, loving family who will give him the time and space to continue to grow and flourish. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate kitten who loves to snuggle, Dixon is the one for you.
If you have room in your heart and home, Dixon would love to find a family where he can continue to build confidence and get all the love he deserves! He would also be thrilled to stay with his brother Blaze, as they are a perfect pair.
My Ideal Home: I’d love a calm, loving home where I can continue to grow at my own pace. I’m still a bit shy, so I’d feel most comfortable in a quiet environment with plenty of patience and gentle encouragement. I get along with other cats, but I’m especially close to my brother Blaze, and I’d love to stay with him if possible—we keep each other company and help each other feel brave.
I’m okay with kids, but I’m not quite the playful type just yet. I prefer cuddles and a relaxed vibe, so a family who can give me space to adjust would be perfect. If you have other pets, that’s fine—I get along well with them too, but I’d really appreciate a home where I can feel safe and loved.
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate kitten who will slowly but surely blossom into the perfect cuddle buddy, I’m your guy!
What is Known About My Background: I came into care with my brother Blaze after spending my whole life in the pound. It’s likely I was born there or brought in at a very young age, which means I had never known life outside of a cage. When I first arrived in foster care, everything felt a bit overwhelming, and I was really shy and timid. It took me a few days to start exploring and getting comfortable with my new surroundings.
Thanks to the love and encouragement from my foster family—and especially my brave brother Blaze—I’ve started to come out of my shell. I’m learning to enjoy playtime and discovering what it means to be a curious and happy kitten. I’m still taking it all in, but every day I’m becoming a little more confident and a lot more affectionate.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I get along well with the three resident cats in my foster home, but my best buddy is definitely my brother Blaze. We’re always together, and he helps me feel more confident as we explore and play.
As for kids, I’m still a bit shy, but I’m fine with being picked up and carried around by them. I’m gentle and patient, and I think with a calm family, I’ll continue to become more comfortable around them.
There are also two Labradors at my foster home. They live outside, but I’ve been curious and enjoy interacting with them through the door. I’m sure I’d adjust well to a home with dogs as long as they’re calm and respectful.
I’m a quiet, gentle kitten, and I’d be happiest in a calm, loving home where I can continue to feel safe and secure, especially if I’m with my brother Blaze!
