All animals go to their new owners desexed and microchipped. The donation amount (if specified) covers required vet work.
Pets listed on this page are not being made available "By Donation" because they are undesirable or badly behaved. These dogs and cats may need to rehome quickly due to many reasons such as:- space issues, carers going away, having been in care for an extended period or due to special needs. HAR also encourages owners looking to rehome their pets to place a donation fee as we are consistently dealing with the way pets are often regarded as "disposable"
Hunter Animal Rescue supports responsible pet ownership. We encourage all members of the public to have their dogs and cats desexed before their first season. We look foward to the end of overbreeding of companion animals and a time when there is no longer a need for us to rescue animals from the pound.
